Stepnout Performing Arts - 2026 Terms & Conditions

Please read carefully. Acceptance is required for enrolment.

1. REGISTRATION & ENROLMENT
​

Online Registration Form must be completed before participating in any class.

Available at www.stepnout.com.au for viewing or copying.
-
Students may not train at another school in any style offered at Stepnout while enrolled.
-
No siblings/friends may join unless officially enrolled.
-
Enrolment is for a full calendar year and rolls over each term.
-
Withdrawal requires 1 week’s written notice before the new term; otherwise next term fees apply.
-
Mid-term withdrawals incur the full term fee (no refunds).

2. FEES, REFUNDS & PAYMENT TERMS
​

Fees are all-inclusive and based on the number of weekly classes.
-
Two payment options only: Payment Plan OR Full Term Payment Up-Front (no exceptions).

Fees are due by the first day of term.
-
Invoices issued via Parent Portal 14 days before due date.
-
Payment methods: EFT transfer or credit card via Parent Portal.
-
Students without a payment plan AND unpaid fees by Day 1 will not be permitted to attend class.
-
No refunds or make-up lessons for missed classes.
-
New students joining mid-term are charged pro-rata.
-
Fees must be paid by invoice date; outstanding balances may restrict entry.

Term fees & performance packs are non-refundable.
-
No fee reductions for holidays or absences unless approved by Stepnout.
-
3-Class Pass: payable at first class; valid for 3 consecutive weeks.

Recovery of Costs: Debtors are liable for recovery agent fees, repossession costs, search fees, process server fees, and solicitor fees (solicitor–client basis).

3. ATTENDANCE, ABSENCES & INJURY/SICKNESS POLICY
​
Absence Types:
-
Holiday: Up to 4 weeks per calendar year (consecutive or individual).
-
Medical (certificate): Unlimited; credits applied.
-
Medical (no certificate): 4 per calendar year with prior notice; at-home link may be provided.
Injury/Sickness:
-
Students reporting pain/injury require professional medical clearance before returning.
-
Unwell students will be collected immediately; rest is required. No make-up classes offered.

4. LIABILITY RELEASE
​
Parents/guardians agree to hold harmless Stepnout Performing Arts, its officers, employees, and contractors from any and all liability for injury, illness, or loss connected to participation in classes, activities, or events. Stepnout is not responsible for lost, misplaced, or stolen items. Label all belongings.

5. CONSENT FOR MEDICAL TREATMENT (MINOR)
​
Parents/guardians permit staff to take emergency action as necessary. In emergencies, children may be transported by emergency services. Staff may contact emergency responders before contacting parents. Parents accept full financial responsibility for medical expenses.

6. CODE OF CONDUCT & STUDIO EXPECTATIONS

Students must follow dress code and behaviour expectations; failure may result in suspension or removal.

Families must read and follow all Stepnout policies.
-
Waiting-area conduct: remain quiet, supervise children, respect classes.
-
All rehearsals must be attended; otherwise performance participation may be withdrawn.

Preschool/primary students must be accompanied to the front door; secondary students may enter when the teacher opens the door.

No alcohol at studio or performances.
-
No chewing gum or food unless attending multiple classes (healthy snacks only).
-
Lost/damaged costumes incur replacement costs.
-
Privacy laws prohibit discussing any child other than your own; breaches may result in removal.

Timetable changes/cancellations may occur due to operational or government requirements.

7. MEDIA, PHOTOGRAPHY & VIDEO RELEASE
​

Stepnout may photograph/film students for promotional and studio purposes; surnames are never used.
-
Images/video may appear in advertising, publications, social media, and related platforms without payment.
-
Class/rehearsal/performance footage may not be posted publicly without written permission from the Studio Director.
-
Class recording is prohibited unless a teacher authorises it.
-
To opt out of image use, email info@stepnout.com.au (handled confidentially).

8. COMMUNICATION
​

Concerns must be directed to staff respectfully.
-
Negative or behind-the-back complaints are not acceptable.
-
Email the studio for concerns or information for teachers—students are in their care during classes, and teachers cannot receive direct messages.

9. AGREEMENT
​
By completing registration, parents/guardians confirm that they:

Have read and understood all Stepnout Performing Arts policies.

Agree to the Terms & Conditions, Injury & Illness Policy, Media Policy, Code of Conduct, and this Parent Agreement & Liability Waiver.
-
Accept all conditions as a requirement of enrolment.
